Over the course of his illustrious Yankees career, Derek Jeter, the 1996 American League Rookie of the Year, has appeared in 11 All-Star games, won 5 Gold Glove awards, and won 5 World Series titles. In 2000, he was named MVP of both the All-Star Game and World Series, making him the first player ever to do so. In 2003 he was named team captain and rightfully so. He has led his team to the Postseason in 15 of his 16 seasons prior to 2011, including 7 World Series. He is perhaps the most clutch performer to ever don the pinstripes, consistently coming up big in big spots. Showing no signs of slowing down, Jeter continues to produce at a staggering clip, breaking club records on a nightly basis. The Dive is a signature play in Jeter's career and symbolic of his dedication to winning. On July 1 2004 against the Boston Red Sox at Yankee Stadium Jeter saved the game in the 12th inning making a spectacular catch and diving head-first into the stands. Minutes later Jeter emerged bloodied yet victorious. He held onto the ball and the Yankees went on to defeat the Red Sox 5-4 in 13 innings.
Derek Jeter has hand signed this filmstrip collage commemorating the moment is 12x23 in size.
